Minot extends Easter bar hours

MINOT, N.D. - A long-running ordinance requiring Minot bars to close at midnight on Easter has changed, following months of discussion in the city about liquor laws.

This year, alcohol establishments will be allowed to remain open an extra hour into Easter Sunday, until 1 a.m.

The rule change is part of a series of recent adjustments to liquor ordinances in Minot, including lifting the cap on the number of retail beer licenses, and changing how the city monitors U.S. census numbers.
