Minot business 'Grow with Me' gets the 'Cash Mob' treatment

MINOT, N.D. - Another local Minot business got the ‘Cash Mob’ treatment—this time, it was Grow with Me.

Members of the Minot community 'mobbed' the downtown Minot children's store from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 21.

This is the fourth business that group that calls themselves the #MagicCashMob has hit.

The idea is to 'mob' the selected business with customers and spend money, thus giving them a jolt of business.

Those who do not have children could also buy children's supplies and donate them to local organizations like the domestic violence crisis center.

“I think for local businesses, we've all struggled, especially with the construction we've had downtown the past couple years. So I think just being able to get the names out there, say hey, this is local. Keep your local business. It's more the unique shops, the different shops that most people don't see. You know, you can go to the mall anywhere, but you can't always get a unique shop,” said Valerie Stadheim, owner, Grow with Me.

Members with the cash mob say they've selected their next location and will announce it in the coming weeks.
