MINOT, N.D. - Three contestants representing the Minot area are looking to receive the crown from Macy Christianson when her time is up as Miss North Dakota.

Miss Minot Cassandra Stauffer, Miss North Dakota State Fair Jane Peterson, and Miss Norsk Høstfest Emily Prock are heading to Williston this weekend to compete for the crown.

The trio are among nineteen contestants from across the state.

They said they are proud to be representing the area.

“I didn’t ever think that I would be competing for Miss North Dakota, let alone get the title of Miss Minot, so I feel like I’m very blessed to have this opportunity to go out and represent our great state, our great town of Minot,” said Stauffer.

“I never in a million years would have thought I would do a pageant, but you get so many opportunities, and you meet so many new people,” said Peterson.

The Miss North Dakota competition will be in Williston June 7, 8, and 10.

The winner will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City, N.J.
