Minot Street Art Movement adding mural downtown

MINOT, N.D. - The Minot Street Art Movement is adding a new visual to downtown.

Dickinson Artist Scott Gordon is in town teaming up with the Minot Art Council to create the mural near the old train station.

The crew began working on the massive 30 feet by 30 feet spray paint mural, starting with the character of Batman.

"It's crazy. It starts off with a few lines and you don't really know what's going to happen. Then after you get going and start to see it fill up, you have to take a step back and take it all in," says Gordon.

"I guess, the most important thing is, if you're interested in helping out or supporting the arts in any way, it means a whole lot to the community and everyone involved," says Eric Thoemke, Minot Street Art Movement Co-Executive Director.

The mural is expected to be finished this fall.
