MINOT, N.D.- Easter is nearly here and the Downtown Businesses are getting the community in the spirit.
The Downtown Business and Professional Association held its annual Bunny Hop Easter Celebration Thursday entertaining more than 500 little community members.
Nearly 30 businesses gave out candy, decked out their stores in Easter decorations, and even introduced the Easter Bunny to eager families.
Attendees say the trick or treat style event was a fun start to the Easter weekend.
"To have these nice events when spring is finally here, it was just really nice to get out and meet people look at the businesses and take a nice walk," said Kayla and Lily Nolte, Bunny Hop attendees.
"It's one of those things where people can come down they can see what we're doing downtown, they can see that downtown Minot is open and that we're not having any trouble with parking and we're just welcoming the community," said, Margie Bolton, Downtown Business & Professional Association vice president.
The association says as spring weather continues to blossom they hope to continue to serve the community with events like this.
