MINOT, N.D. - The Minot Commission on Aging hosted their annual March for Meals today for Senior Hunger Awareness.
Every day, the Meals on Wheels program gives about 290 meals to seniors around Minot.
Thursday, Minot city leaders, as well as volunteers from Scheels, attended an event to deliver food to seniors.
One out of six seniors struggles with hunger.
”It's important that our Seniors understand that we care about them and we are standing on their shoulders and that everything that we are is because of them and we need to remember that as a community and help take care of them in their golden years,” said Mayor Chuck Barney.
