MINOT, N.D. - A former Minot airman will serve five years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges Wednesday.

Twenty-five-year-old Nick Wilson pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of certain materials prohibited. In exchange, the state agreed to drop seven other counts.

Court records indicate that investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a pornographic image of boys aged 10 to 14 uploaded to Skype.

Investigators traced the account to Wilson and searched his northwest Minot apartment, seizing other electronics, which revealed dozens of photos and videos of child pornography.

Prosecutors say that Wilson admitted to investigators to viewing child pornography.

He will also serve three years of supervised probation, and much register as a sex offender.

Minot Air Force Base officials say that Wilson is no longer with the Air Force and was discharged on Sept. 12, 2017.
