Medical Marijuana clears ND attorney general hurdle

BISMARCK, N.D. - North Dakota patients are one step closer to getting access to medical marijuana.

The North Dakota Attorney General's Office submitted the proposed rules for the program to the Legislative Council. February 1 was the deadline to submit the rules.

The final step in the process is approving the rules. If Legislative Council does that at their March meeting, the rules would go into effect on April 1.

Gov. Doug Burgum signed the Compassionate Care Act in April of 2017.
