Man sentenced to 20 years by a federal judge for child porn

WILLISTON, N.D. - A federal judge sentenced a Williston man to 20 years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

According to a release from the Department of Justice, 44-year-old Jess Mallo had uploaded images to his Gmail account suggesting he may have been victimizing a minor.

Law enforcement conducted a search warrant of Mallo’s home and seized several electronic devices, they later found multiple images depicting sexual exploitation of children.

The release says this isn’t Mallo’s first run-in with the law. In 2005, Mallo was convicted of sexual molestation of two minor females in Minnesota.

Along with 20 years in federal prison, Mallo will also have 10 years of supervised release.
