BISMARCK, N.D. - The man involved in one of the state's largest heroin busts has lost an appeal.
Charles Ahumada was pulled over on I-94 near Bismarck in 2014. During the stop, police found four and a half pounds of heroin valued $2.5 million.
Ahumada appealed to the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and argued there was not enough evidence to support his conviction on one of the drug counts.
A panel of judges recently rejected that argument.
