Man charged with burglary, arson in Bismarck now charged with terrorizing

BISMARCK, N.D. - We have an update on a man who was originally charged with arson and burglary after a house fire in Bismarck on Nov. 7.

We've learned that 36-year-old Spencer Norton is now facing another charge, this time, terrorizing against an adult.

According to court documents, the new charge comes after Bismarck police reviewed audio and video jail visitation recordings between Norton and his fiance, Yvette Howell.

Documents say in those recordings, Norton makes a number of claims about what he will do when he gets out of jail, even saying: "That detective, he don't have no idea what is coming his way when I get out."

Norton's felony jury trial for arson is set for Jan. 18.
