A Minot man is in custody in connection with a stabbing on the city’s northeast side.

Minot Police say they responded to a report of a 41-year-old man with a stab wound in the 1100 block of 8th Street NE just after 3 p.m. July 11.

They say the suspect fled before officers arrived on scene.

Officers eventually tracked down the suspect, 31-year-old Nathan Houle, at a nearby home and took him into custody.

He faces charges of aggravated assault and giving false information to law enforcement, and is held in the Ward County Jail.

The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
