MINOT, N.D. - Just in time to celebrate Minot's birthday, Main Street in downtown is officially rid of construction.
This afternoon Keller Paving and Landscaping finished paving it's last block on North Main Street, which completes the phase two of the 2016 construction project. Crews say it's exciting to see the downtown area come together.
”The neat thing again about this is that the intersections are open downtown. You can come downtown right off of main street, you can come downtown off 2nd avenue, 1st avenue, you can come off of central avenue off of the east side, 3rd street is wide open. So if you come from any direction, find a street and you'll be able to make it downtown,” said Mark Lyman, Downtown construction public information officer.
Lyman says they hope to have all of the construction in downtown Minot complete by this fall.
