MINOT, N.D. - The Magic City Players are bringing their own rendition of "The Addams Family" to the stage starting Friday night.
The cast and crew of "The Addams Family" have put in countless hours over the past two months getting ready for the production.
They say they're ready to put on a show you won't forget.
The theatre crew at Magic City Campus will transform into the "The Addams Family" this weekend.
"We've been working on it for two months its amazing to see how far everyone's come and how hard everyone's worked on it and just everything coming together is just beautiful," said Paige Moran, casted as Wednesday Addams.
Cast members say the storyline of the Addams Family is humorous, dark and gloomy, and trying to stay in character proves to be difficult sometimes.
"Everyone is so supportive of one another and like if you mess up they don't judge you and they don't belittle you" said Isabella Andrews, casted as Morticia Addams.
Layne Rouse, who portrays the Addams Family's father figure Gomez, was a late addition to the production, and he's spent the past two weeks learning the part.
"No matter what, no matter how stressful it gets, no matter how overloading it gets; with everyone, not just myself, at the end of the day we can just laugh" said Rouse.
As these young actors prepare for their roles, some unsung heroes behind the scenes work to make the show possible.
"We have a lot of managers that are really devoted to this play and they're here every day on time, early, hours early just working making sure everything is how it needs to be" said Micah Carter, casted as Lucas Beineke.
Supporting one another to bring a timeless story to life.
You can attend the production on Dec. 1, 2 and 3. The Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show begins at 2 p.m. at the Magic City Campus.
