MDU asks PSC to approve natural gas price rate increase

BISMARCK, N.D. - MDU is asking the Public Service Commission to approve to a natural gas price rate increase. The third such increase in the last four years.

"When it started that fixed charge was at about nine dollars a month. For this new proposal they're wanting it to be twenty-two dollars and fifty cents, roughly, a month. So you've seen that more than double in a four year time frame, and that's too much," said AARP State Director Josh Askvig.

The PSC will be holding public hearings on Oct. 24 and 25 in Six cities across the state. Bismarck's location is in the PSC Hearing Room on the 12th floor of the capitol building.
