MINOT, N.D.- The Minot Area Homeless Coalition continued its efforts to raise money for locals in need Thursday night.
The funds raised during MAHC’s annual banquet and fundraiser have a greater purpose than just putting a roof over someone’s head.
Helping to pay for medical costs or counseling hours, "MOCK" says this event also benefits their two goals of helping people off the streets and keeping people from becoming homeless.
“Tonight we have a silent auction going on. There were sponsorships for tables and people just donate. We get a lot of times when people, before they leave, they'll just write out a check,” said Mac McLeod, MAHC director.
The silent auction featured some pretty pricey items, so the Homeless Coalition should be in for a successful night.
