BISMARCK, N.D. - The game Hot Lotto is ending.
Saturday, Oct. 28, is the last day to buy tickets and the last drawing will take place. Lottery officials say the game brings in about $65,000 in sales a week in North Dakota. But interest isn't high enough to keep it going.
"It's been here for over 10 years, the sales have been pretty stagnant over the years,” Ryan Koppy, sales and marketing manager for the North Dakota Lottery said. “We've had a couple game changes, we've tried promotions some of that the interest kinda panned a little bit."
You have until 8:58 p.m. Saturday night to buy tickets.
A new game, Lotto America, will be launching in about two weeks which will take the place of Hot Lotto.
