CANNON BALL, N.D. - A 58-year-old Las Vegas woman has been charged with endangering a vulnerable adult at the main Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp in Southern Morton County.

Court documents say that Kathleen Bennett restrained and physically abused her 82-year-old mother. The complaint says the victim was found zip tied to a chair, wearing only a sweatshirt with urine and feces surrounding her.

Officers with Morton County say the incident happened in December.

The victim was eventually admitted at CHI St. Alexius for treatment.
