WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - A man accused in a shooting in Williston nearly two years ago that left two men dead has been found not guilty.

Thirty-three-year-old Lamar Putney faced two felony murder charges in the May 2016 slayings of 24-year-old Diandre Lott and 23-year-old Donzell Washington at an apartment complex.

Putney claimed self-defense. A jury on Thursday found Putney not guilty after a nearly two-week trial.
