Kids in Minot using snow to their advantage

MINOT, N.D. - All this snow has a silver lining. When life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade; when North Dakota gives you snow, we all go sledding.

"We went sledding today, and it was very fun, as you can see," says Tachel Halverson.

As people finally got themselves dug out, it was time for some fun.

"After being cooped up for a few days, sledding was a good way to take out some energy," says Maria Llamas.

Since school is out, kids can spend the day with their friends.

"This is the first time we all went sledding together, but I think we're going to do it a lot more," says Kaylin Tuenge.

And what's not to love about going face first down a mountain of snow?

"The hills and the bumps, getting snow in your face. We love snow," says the Llamas family.

But at the end of the day, it's all about fun.

"It's just a good opportunity for fun," say the Llamas.

There's plenty of great sledding hills in Minot - all you need is a sled.
