Jean-Michael Kisi sentenced in GSI, attempted murder case in Williston

WILLISTON, N.D. Twenty-two-year-old Jean Michael Kisi was sentenced Thursday in District court in Williston on a charge of gross sexual imposition and being an accomplice to attempted murder.

The judge sentenced Kisi to 35 years in prison with 10 suspended. While the court did not issue the life sentence the state requested, the judge said he felt that Kisi needed to spend a long time in jail.

He will also have to register as a sex offender and can not have any contact with the victim or her family.

Kisi and another man, David Mbulu, were charged after a woman was found walking down the road near Epping, N.D., in November 2015 wearing only a T-shirt and covered in blood.
