James Memorial Art Center puts student art on display

WILLISTON, ND - Student art is on display at the James Memorial Art Center in Williston.

Students from across the state submitted entries to the annual North Dakota Student Art Show. The 2016 winners are being shown in galleries across the state, such as the James. Nine students from Williston-area schools have work on display. And each student has something different that inspires them.

"It's Ragnarok which is a Norse myth about the end of the world. The snake that is depicted is a son of Loki who is said to have let go of his tail and that ended up starting Armageddon," says Katie Matlock, Williston High School senior.

The display will be up until the end of January.
