TIBER RESERVOIR, MT - Invasive mussels have been found in Montana waters. Officials confirmed on November 9 that invasive mussel larva was found in the Tiber Reservoir.

Governor Steve Bullock has declared a natural resource emergency. Part of that order will unite three organizations to help identify and contain the mussels as well as prevent them from spreading. The group will be made up of the Montana Invasive Species Advisory Council, the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and the Montana Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Testing is continuing at the Canyon Ferry Reservoir and on the Milk and Missouri Rivers.
