North Dakota Senator John Hoeven was in Bismarck Sunday talking with the leaders of tomorrow.
The North Dakota Association of Student Councils hosts a conference every year to elect officials and give student leaders new ideas for their own schools. Hoeven was there to recognize the efforts that North Dakota students put forward throughout the year.
"Doing good things, and not just for the kids in that school, but going out so far beyond. In one case sending money to Texas. Helping somebody who's sick with cancer. Making a real difference," said Sen. John Hoeven, (R) United States Senate.
Several hundred students, sixth grade through senior high, from all across North Dakota came to the conference.
