MINOT, N.D. – A Minot man has pleaded guilty following a multi-agency child pornography investigation going back to September.
Edwin Herba, 54, pleaded guilty Thursday to an A-felony charge of promoting an obscene performance by a minor and two C-felony counts of possession of certain materials prohibited. He had faced 11 total counts in the case.
Court records indicate that the state investigators relayed a national tip to Minot Police of child pornography uploaded to a chatroom service.
The investigators traced the account to Herba, and a search of his residence revealed laptop computers and flash drives containing hundreds of videos or images depicting child pornography, as well as webcams and televisions.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation for Herba, who will be sentenced March 21.
