BISMARCK, N.D. - A group of marijuana advocates today gathered on the steps of the state capitol to talk about pot.

The group met with lawmakers and discussed the medical marijuana law which just passed through the state house. They voiced their displeasure over some discrepancies between the new law... and the measure voters passed. They also planned to talk about a potential ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana.

“The good lord put the seeds on the earth and that's about all I got to say about that, OK? If it was that evil of demon killer weed I don't think he would have put it on the earth,” said Mike Needham, Gackle, N.D. resident.

The event was organized by Dustin Peyer, who is announcing a run for the U.S. Senate against Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.
