Almost a year to the day since breaking ground on the new governor's residence, the project is almost complete. Last year, the project broke ground on September 28.
Move-in time for the first family is expected to be the second week in November. That means the project which is under budget, is also on schedule.
"Our original goal was to have the first family in the new residence for Thanksgiving 2017 and we're going to get them in three weeks before that,” North Dakota Facility Management Director John Boyle said. “So we're very excited."
The old residence will be demolished sometime in November.
