BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum, R-N.D., convened the first meeting of his Task Force for Higher Governance Friday.
Burgum formed the 15-person task force by executive order in November. The Governor heads the committee, which includes 14 others he appointed that represent the interests of students, faculty, alumni, business owners and all branches of government.
The group is tasked with discussing whether changes need to be made to the governance structure.
The task force will develop recommendations for state lawmakers to consider during the 2019 session.
