BISMARCK, N.D. - Mayors from Bismarck, Mandan, and Lincoln came together to kick-off their 'Gold Star Community Task Force'. The task force will help change and make an impact on current addictions and behavioral health issues facing the area.
People in the community are taking action to bring down the drug, alcohol, and opiate problem in the area. Educating people of drug abuse is a top priority to bring addiction numbers down.
"I think it's very important with the limited resources and the limited budgets that we have. That if we all work together and work with all the fine folks that are here, and share each other’s stories, our experiences, and share each other’s resources. We can probably make a pretty good dent," said Mandan Mayor Tim Helbling.
The mayors of Bismarck, Mandan and Lincoln are excited to start making something positive happen in the community.
