Bismarket has been going on for a few years now, and they're still building on their success.
Saturday they held go play at Bismarket. A combination of events to make a day of fun for the whole family. Games and activities for kids as well as plenty of local vendors. Organizers say it was a pilot event for a new "Streets Alive" program that may be coming to Bismarck in the near future.
"So basically you close down a section of the community. Close down a street so people can be active, whether they're biking, or walking, or roller blading in conjunction with different activities going on, and food vendors, and music, and arts. It's kind of a celebration of life in the community and everybody involved," said Tanya Josmith, Bismarket Board Presiden, talking about the Streets Alive program.
Organizers at Bismarket say that Streets Alive has been succesful in Fargo and want to bring it to Bismarck.
