Fundraiser Friday for Minot family displaced by fire

MINOT, N.D. – The Rockin’ Horse Band House in Minot will hold a fundraiser Friday night for a Minot-area family that lost its rental home in a large fire earlier this month.

A fire quickly tore through a home rented by Jarod and Felisha Henning Oct. 19. The Hennings have five children as well, and they were all living in the home.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and a neighbor rescued the family’s pets.

The fundraiser takes place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Rockin’ Horse at 2625 Burdick Expressway E in Minot.

There will be a free will offering and raffle fundraiser, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the family to get them back on their feet.

Musician Cody Zane Wells will put on a show.

An account has been set up for the family at Affinity First Credit Union.
