BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Doug Burgum has been talking about the great change in front of us, so Mayor Mike Seminary and Brian Ritter of the Bis-Man Development Association announced the first DistruptWell Technology Summit.

The summit will help people in the community be informed with the changes technology is bringing. There will be four different panels at the summit that will address some key disruptive innovation changes like health care technology and renewable fuels.

"It's incredible because we never had a community conversation like this because we never experienced a time like this before. We've never seen a pace of change that we are right now. That's why the mayor summit and this event is so timely, that's why it's so exciting," said Brian Ritter, president of the development association.

"We have a team of people that has been working on this diligently. Leaders from the community, entrepreneurs, educators, and the like, that say this is how this has to look to make sure that Bismarck, we're putting a stake in the ground, and says we're here," said Mayor Mike Seminary.

The summit takes place at the National Energy Center of Excellence at BSC on Oct. 31. Everyone is welcome to take part in the event.
