BISMARCK, N.D. - It only took a few hours for the first Bismarck baby to arrive in 2018.

Gina Schubert gave birth to a healthy daughter named Lola Diana at 5:33 this morning. Lola is 20 inches long and was 7 pounds, 1 ounce.

Gina went into Sanford in Bismarck Sunday after shopping for a few last minute baby items. Lola is Gina's fourth child.

Gina's mom visited her newest granddaughter in the hospital and got a nice surprise.

"Well, he picked the name, and then the middle name was my mom's name. But, we waited for a surprise for her," said Schubert.

Gina says she is expecting to be discharged Tuesday, and Lola can meet her sister and two brothers. Another baby was also born at Sanford within minutes of Lola.
