MINOT, N.D. - The Minot Fire Department needs firefighters.
The department will be holding an open house for people interested in pursing a career as a firefighter October 4 at Fire Station One from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
It offers potential candidates an opportunity to get familiar with the job and receive advice regarding the fire fighting recruitment process.
The job requires you be at least 18-years-old, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and you must be able to pass the oral, physical and written exams.
"What I look for in a candidate is someone that will fit. Someone that would be a hard worker, be able to fit in a team organization and work hard for the citizens of Minot," says Fire Chief, Kelli Flermoen.
The Minot Fire Department will also be conducting a familiarization session for the employment physical agility test on October 28.
