WILLISTON, N.D. - The FAA has announced an additional $26 million in funding to help build Williston's new airport. The federal government contributed $27 million last year to the project.
The Williston Basin International Airport is expected to cost around $250 million, with $150 million provided by the federal government. The state is expected to chip in around $50 million and the City of Williston will cover the remaining $50 million.
A groundbreaking for the project will be held next month.
