BISMARCK, N.D. - Emails between the governor's office and a hospitality group show that Gov. Burgum was given an array of VIP options to choose from during his time in Minneapolis for Super Bowl 52.

Burgum received two tickets to attend the game from Xcel Energy worth $37,000.

The Associated Press reported last week that the visit included a hockey game and other VIP events, which made the trip worth closer to $40,000.

The attached e-mails show what events the governor had access to.

Burgum repaid Xcel Energy for the cost of the trip after the visit became public. You can view the entirety of the emails attached to this story.
