BISMARCK, N.D. - Both capital city boys hockey teams will be playing in the state tournament this week, and while Century will be the first ones on the ice, Bismarck will play in the final game of the day.
Demons Head Coach Mike Peluso says this final week should provide some incentive for his team.
"And I think a lot of that's reality hitting that some of these kids are realizing that this could be the end of their hockey playing days, and that's a tough pill. I don't care what level you're at, it hits you, all the same at some point in time in your career. So, I think they'll get past that here and settle in and realize, you know what, it's the last little bit here, let's have some fun with it and play some hockey."
Bismarck’s first round opponent is Grand Forks Red River. The Demons played the Riders after Christmas, and they lost that game 4-2.
