Demons Volleyball ready for state

The Demons played above their seed in the West Region volleyball tournament which is why Bismarck High has a spot in the Class-A State Volleyball tournament this week.B.H.S. beat Minot in the state qualifying game.

The Demons head coach says they did one thing much better during the region tournament.

Josette Timian, Bismarck Head Coach, "Last week, we started to close our blocks that was huge because when you do that you're able to play defense so I think that getting that taken care of allows us to be more defensive."

The Demons will need that defense against Valley City. Bismarck feels it can make a run all the way to the final match on Saturday.

Alie Glasser, Bismarck Senior, "obviously we're working hard in practice and doing everything we can to better the volleyball and do absolutely everything we can do but I know that we can get there. We're going to have to take it game by game and push every single point and do everything but I have the heart and I know that my team has the heart and we have the potential to take that."

The Demons and Hi-Liners play the final game of the first round at the Fargodome on Thursday.
