DICKINSON, N.D. - A Dickinson State University residence hall built in 1965 is finally getting a makeover.
Crews are beginning renovations this week on Woods Hall, a former women's dormitory. Woods Hall was only 22 percent full when it closed down.
The new hall will have co-ed living spaces and more than 130 beds, as well as several other updates.
"'We're incorporating accessible rooms on the first floor, we're incorporating an elevator, so that people with mobility impairments will be able to get to all floors of the building. Additionally, we're transitioning the first floor to suite style living," says Melanie Tucker, V.P. of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
Woods Hall is set to re-open Fall 2017.
