For the first time Applebee's is teaming up with Minot State University's DECA to help raise funds for the upcoming State Conference Competition.
The club enhances college students in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management skills.
DECA plans to represent Minot at the conference in hopes of getting the chance to make it to nationals.
Both DECA and the local Applebee's say the fundraiser is great way to give back to a community organization that intends to better the Magic City.
"We're trying to get involved in the community and do as much fundraisers as we can so that we would have the funds to be able to give it back more," says Levy Cabatingan, MSU Collegiate DECA Member.
"It's logical to give involved with something as big as DECA. Every school, college has one it, and I think it's a great way to, for all of Applebee's in North Dakota, to get involved in their communities," says Cristine Jakuebk, Applebee's Minot Manager.
20 percent of the guest purchase goes back to the organization. The fundraiser continues tonight until 11 and picks up again the following two Mondays, the 13th and the 20th, from four to 11 pm. To find out how to help check out this story on our website for a link.
