MINOT, N.D. – Construction crews in Minot are installing a new wooden floor in the city’s armory.
Workers are cutting planks of wood and laying them in place, piece by piece, in the style of an old basketball court.
The floor was replaced following the 2011 flood, but air bubbles have begun popping up in some areas.
Once all of the pieces are laid workers will then seal the floor.
Crews say they hope to have the work wrapped up by next week.
The cost of the work comes in at roughly $82,000, with taxpayers covering roughly $62,000 of that.
