MANDAN, N.D. - Seven of the eight region’s qualified their champion for the girls state-B Thursday. The region-1 title is Friday evening. Thursday night in Mandan, Grant County handed Shiloh Christian its first loss of the year.
The Coyotes scores the last six points in regulation, and they outscored the Skyhawks 9-0 in overtime. Grant County senior Taylor Roehl said, “I'd say it's definitely our defense that helped us come through and win that at the end. We, I don't think we let Shiloh score, I don't know if we let them score at all in overtime, so, I think that's what really led us to come out with a win. We came out and played really aggressive, and that's what it was going to take to go out and win, and we did it."
We will have much more from the Coyotes next week, as the girls-B is in Minot.
