MINOT, N.D. - Minot’s city landfill will offer free dumping of trash between Dec. 27 and Jan. 6.

John Reynolds, City of Minot Sanitation Superintendent, says residents can dispose of accumulated trash at the landfill free of charge during the holidays by bringing a current water bill as proof of residency.

The landfill will be open during its normal hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23rd.

The City will provide dumpsters at two locations to help residents dispose of Christmas trees properly.

The City will place dumpsters at 16th Street SW and 16th Avenue SW, near the KMOT station and at 11th Street NW and 4th Avenue NW, which is Oak Park.
