Charges filed in Snapchat pornography investigation in Minot

MINOT, N.D. - A 24-year-old Minot man faces two counts of promoting obscenity to minors following an investigation into pornography sent to a child over social media.

Investigators with Ward County say they received a complaint from a parent in October that multiple people had sent pornographic images and videos to the child over Snapchat.

Court records indicate the exchanges happened in late June.

Investigators identified Dillon Jesz as a suspect and later charged him.

Jesz turned himself in to authorities Thursday and bonded out.

He signed a promise to appear, and will make his initial court appearance in February.

The charges are C-felonies which carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
