MINOT, N.D. – A change of plea hearing is scheduled later this week for 27-year-old Cynthia Wilder, the woman accused of helping her husband Richie Wilder, Jr., plan the November 2015 murder of his ex-wife Angila in Minot.
Investigators say that Cynthia admitted to a confidential informant that she helped Richie plan the murder, along with a failed attempt to break Richie out of county jail the following August.
The details of any proposed plea agreement are unclear.
Cynthia remains in custody on a $1 million bond. Her plea change is set for Thursday afternoon. She faces a maximum sentence of life without parole on the AA-felony conspiracy to commit murder charge.
Richie is currently serving a sentence of life in prison without the chance of parole, after a jury convicted him of the killing last December. He is currently appealing his conviction to the State Supreme Court.
