The Century Patriots have won the last two state swimming and diving championships. So, it’s obvious that their goal this season is to win it three years in a row.
While it’s still a bit early in the swim season, the girls are feeling a little pressure, but making every meet count. Junior swimmer Carly Palmer says, "I think that Kathy's really good with pressure in that she lets us have just the right amount of fun with the right amount of work, so that we stay interested and we're ready to go for next season, and continue our interest in swimming."
Patriot freshman Alexis Duchsherer adds, "I feel like there's a little bit of pressure just because, you know, you can do it twice, you can do it one more time. You know, and i think there's just high expectations because now everyone's spotlight is on us, and I think it's more fun that way."
Head Coach Kathy Aspaas says she’s feeling pretty good about the talent she’s coaching this year, and on Wednesday, Kaleigh Emery puts a Century standout in the sports spotlight.
