Car wash closes to protect customer vehicles

MINOT, N.D. - The cold weather has forced some businesses, including car washes, to temporarily shut down.

The management at Fast Lane Car Wash says they're looking out for their customers and their vehicles as temperatures reach extreme temperatures.

The car wash normally runs year-round.

They say that if a vehicle were to go through the carwash Friday with temperatures below zero, water would freeze almost instantly.

"We can run our carwash in the cold weather its just when we get these extreme cold temperatures, it's really dangerous and unproductive for the cars themselves," said operations manager Krista Marshall.

Marshall says that they will be active on their social media accounts to let their customers know whether or not they will be open.
