BISMARCK, N.D. - A judge has sentenced a Bismarck man to life in prison with possibility of parole for an attempted murder charge from 2015.
Branden Lyon was convicted by a jury in October for attempted murder, two counts of terrorizing and illegal possession of a firearm.
Judge Bruce Haskell said in court Monday that he believes Lyon doesn't deserve any chances or considerations and says he is a dangerous person.
“Your honor I came into your court and I knew I was hanging myself by getting up on the stand. But, I wanted to tell my truth," said Branden Lyon.
The judge also ordered Lyon to serve 15 more years for the other three counts.
