BOWMAN COUNTY, N.D. - The former Bowman County superintendent facing drug charges, appeared in court Thursday for his preliminary hearing.

During David Mahon's appearance, he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was released on a $5,000 unsecured cash bond.

The drug charges came after court documents say Mahon allowed two teens to smoke marijuana in his home and also had possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

No date for a jury trial has been scheduled yet.
