Bismarck police warn residents about law enforcement impersonator

BISMARCK, N.D. - Bismarck Police are warning residents to be aware of a police impersonator who may be calling homes.

A man reported that he was contacted by an individual that called himself Sgt. Kevin Price with the "Bismarck County Sheriff's Department."

The impersonator told the victim that he had two warrants out for his arrest due to missing jury duty.

The caller told the man that he would be willing to meet at a courthouse to to discuss the warrants.

When the victim started asking the impersonator questions, he hung up.

The impersonator was calling from a 701 area code.
